U.S. Census data on poverty to be released Tuesday, Sept. 17 

Richard Burkhauser, professor of policy analysis and management at Cornell University, will be available to discuss tomorrow’s release of the national income, poverty and health insurance statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey.

Burkhauser is an award-winning economist and was the keynote speaker at last year’s Brookings Institution panel based on the survey. He won the 2012 Richard Musgrave Prize for his research on income growth in the U.S. middle class.

Burkhauser is available to explain the implications of the new data on poverty and family income, which will be released early Tuesday, Sept. 17, by the U.S. Census Bureau at: http://www.census.gov/newsroom/releases
