ITHACA, N.Y. – The community is invited to see the unveiling of the newly renovated Lindseth Climbing Center on Sunday, October 16 at 11 a.m.

Immediately following the dedication, there will be an opportunity for guests to climb and boulder. Cornell Outdoor Education will provide all equipment, or guests can bring their own. The center opens to the entire Cornell community and general public from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Climbers new to the Lindseth Climbing Center must sign up for a learn to climb lesson in order to be properly introduced to the Center’s climbing and safety rules.

The facility will showcase a new 6,200 square foot upgrade to the Lindseth Climbing Wall. When added to the 1,800 square feet of original natural rock climbing surface, climbers will have over 8,000 square feet of terrain to explore. Updated features include 50-foot vertical routes for all experience levels, lead wall and sport climbing routes, as well as a new 14-foot-tall bouldering wall.

Lindseth Climbing Center is located in Bartels Hall at 554 Campus Rd. Parking is available next to the building.
