Cornell University trustees to meet in Ithaca, May 26-27

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell University Board of Trustees will have its regular Commencement Week meeting in Ithaca, May 26-27, 2017, with some sessions open to the public.

The full board will meet from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 26; and from 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 27. The first 25 minutes of the May 26 session, to take place in the 184 Myron Taylor Hall, will be open to the public. This open session will include reports from President Martha Pollack, Employee Assembly Chair Ulysses Smith, and Dean of Faculty Charles Van Loan.

In addition to the meeting of the full board, the following board committees with open sessions will meet on Friday, May 27:

  • The Buildings and Property Committee will meet at 10:30 a.m. in the Carrier Ballroom at the Statler Hotel. A brief open session at the start of the meeting will include approval of the Contract College Status Report.
  • The Committee on University Relations will meet at 11:45 a.m. in the Yale/Princeton room at the Statler Hotel. A 15-minute open session at the start of the meeting will include a report from Associate Vice President for State Government Relations Charles Kruzansky.

A limited number of tickets for the public to the open session of the full board meeting on Friday will be available at the Information and Referral Center in the lobby of Day Hall beginning at noon Wednesday.
